Overview
Autism NJ's Professional and Support Services are designed to give service providers a general understanding of autism spectrum disorders. Autism NJ's objective is to provide education and support to those professionals who serve individuals with autism in public and private schools, early intervention programs, group homes, day programs for adults, recreational programs, and other settings. Discussion is didactic and may include a “hands-on” component that gives professionals the opportunity to practice the teaching techniques discussed during the workshop. Workshops and seminars are tailored to fit the specific needs of each individual agency. These trainings are intended for teachers, teaching assistants, direct care workers, administrators, case managers, child study team members, and other service providers.
